Hi folks,

I'm just starting a restoration on a 78 GL1000. It came with an extra set of carbs, which I suspect may be from a newer 79 model.

Is there any way to tell the difference (if any) between the 78 and 79 carbs?

This particular set is stamped with the number 771A on each of the four carbs.

Any help would be appreciated.

THANKS

The best place for GL1000 carb information is.... Randall Washington's site. He includes the numbers and differences between various carb modules, and hints on getting the most out of them. And, he also sells the most complete rebuild kits!
